Starting level question

So I'm a long time player and DM of dnd and usually run homebrew content. Last campaign wrapped and I'm looking to run a pre written adventure to do some of the heavy lifting and give me a little break. So I want to run CoS.
That said all my players are veterans and was wondering how hard would it be to bump the post death house level from 3 to 5? Bumping up encounters wouldn't be to hard but does having early access to some of the mid abilities screw up much if the exploration etc...?
