Frequent reader first time poster. I have been DMing my group for a bit though Curse of Strahd and wanted everyone's opinion on what could be seen as a potential copout or as something badass. The party attacked the hags and fought them in the mill but they were definitely outmatched. The party's rolls were going downhill and Ireena had dropped. My hard pulled a hail Mary and told them exactly what the hags had done. "You know that is Strahd's bride?" The sky turned charcoal black as lightning crashed and the winds tore around them. Strahd used telekinesis to tear the foundation of the mill from the ground recalling everyone inside. He then drew the hags closer and entrapped them within a force cage. "I shall show you the true meaning of fear", he tells Morgantha. As he summons an Illusory dragon and begins to melt the hagswith fire balls and dragon fire turning them into a paste and soup. He started at the party while floating in the sky ensuring Ireena is safe and departing into a cloud of bats clearing the storm away. Let me know what you think.
