The group I'm running just got to Vallaki tonight. The very first thing they did upon passing by the stockyard and seeing the carnival wagon was use spell slots to give the Rogue of the group invisibility so she could go check out the wagon. Upon seeing the lock, the immediate reaction is to unlock the door and open it. At this point I'm making it pretty obvious there's something in there moving around and wanting to get out. In response, the player who runs the Rogue exclaims they want to cause chaos and goes through busting the wagon open. The whole scene happens where the tiger gets lose and runs around, the Baron questions people, etc. The players saw the tiger ignore the townsfolk and make his way to Rictavio, who they haven't even met yet. The next day they're questioned, and they don't hesitate to throw Rictavio under the bus and say it was his. Long story short, Rictavio has been driven out of town and didn't get to speak a single word to the PCs.
Afterwards, they brought Ireena to the church. Upon hearing about the missing bones, they told Father Lucian, and I quote, to "piss off" because they apparently don't care about the plights of people who can't reward them now. Then they went to the tavern to "scope it out" so they could attempt to rob it that night. I tried to get some semblence of a plot hook going, and had Urwin notice that they were geared up and not normal townsfolk and approach them with the whole missing wine shipment thing. The players basically cut him off and said they don't give a shit about missing wine and just blew him off.
Honestly, at this point, I'm just not having fun as a DM anymore. At this point they seem almost deadset on trying to piss off any NPC that even dares interact with them. I could always have the Baron get word of them being complete dicks to everyone in the city and get them kicked out, but then what? They move on and treat everyone else they meet after like trash? They aren't even being evil, they all just decided they wanted to suddenly RP as assholes.
Is there any salvaging this? I'm a new DM, and honestly I'm just exhausted and frustrated. I was so excited to run this, too. Obviously I probably made a lot of mistakes, but I just don't think I'm ready to handle a party like this. Just feeling really defeated right now.
EDIT: I did attempt to talk to them. They told me if I had a problem with their characters, I should just kill them off. So now I'm in a situation where I either put up with this more going forward, or kill them and look like an asshole DM.
