Okay - long story short. My parties rouge stole an ink stained journal while at Bildraths Mercantile. It was just flavour text and it wasn’t supposed to be anything of note but of course players latch on to things that mean nothing. They spent a long rest trying to understand stand it. I ended up saying it was just an old childhood journal full of diary entires and a few old poems. (Yes my mistake 😂) But now of course they want to read the poems.

Please help me - I’m at a lose with what to write here. They absolutely plan on using it to blackmail him into letting Parriwimple help the party against Strahd because of course that’s who they drew during the Tarokka reading.
