Especially that first one looks exactly like that when you stare at one point for long enough. I think that same phenomen happens in the eyes too during a trip.
It's like there are multiple identical pictures composed on top of each other in a way that over saturates the picture you see. Maybe the cone and tap cells get over exposured when the image stays still for long enough or maybe the similar visual stimulus over exites the visual part of the brain.
I can't really put into words or have any concrete science behind this, but I think that I have the idea of it.
