I was curious as to how big a Curling League can get. I want to compare it to the NHL where there are 32 teams, 82 games in a season, 16 playoff spots, and stats tracked (that's a whole can of worms there), proper jerseys with numbers on them, full on coaching staff, management for trades among teams, referees (would likely be needed if this is treated like a genuine full on sport and less of a gentleman's sport), and even League commisioners and stuff. Doing rough math, I estimated that this would require around 550 people to fill out each position, which isn't that much compared to how many it takes to run a League like the NHL, and I guess I want this to be a reality someday, and it has become my dream to make a Curling League that is to the scale of the other major sports. This would take millions of dollars and be very hard and I don't see myself actually doing it , but all that aside, what are your guys' thoughts?
