Yeah whenever people say that PJ is inaccurate I feel like they assume the reader takes everything literally.
I’m fully aware that Chiron didn’t take up teaching in New York in a wheelchair. He was still the son of Kronos though. He was also a tutor figure. Anyone with any media literacy would be able to tell which of those details is accurate. (Also, I know that there’s multiple versions of myths and PJ had to pick one - it’s still presenting a valid myth even if it’s not the only one). It’s still a pretty decent source for basic knowledge and iirc the author was originally a teacher himself so it’s not like he didn’t make an effort to have a basis in actual mythology. As opposed to most media which just takes inspiration from it.
