So we just made plans with some friends to go bar hopping tomorrow. With friends it's difficult to meet people, but if the opportunity arises, how can I discreetly encourage guys to talk to her with me around, and once he is talking to her, what are some things I can do to make sure that they get comfortable with each other?

I don't want to do things with people we know. I prefer to meet people. But she rarely ever responds to strangers, and is always very shy, quiet and doesn't conversate. But sometimes, the right guy hits all the right notes, and she gets comfortable quickly and opens up.

I do things like;

Try to keep the conversation going, and including her, till she gets comfortable and engages.

I offer to buy him a drink or two to encourage him to stick around.

When they finally get to talking I quiet down, and let them talk.

• I say I'll brb and go for a walk around the bar to "see who is there" or go to the bathroom often, to give him time to run his charm

and when it looks like he is getting ready to leave, or when the bar is closing, or if conversation feels like it's slowing down, I suggest we go back to our place to smoke or drink some more.. (But this not always works).

I am hoping that if we talk to someone, I can do do things that helps him flirt and get her comfortable with him, to where if I suggest to her to invite him to our place for more drinks or to smoke out with us, she or he would be more apt to agreeing.
