How we have evolved to have our psychology, and how this plays out in inter-gender dynamics has fascinated me for a long time.

A few elements of wife sharing have been theorised on before so I will refer to the different elements by the names that I have come across them before for continuity. Some aspects may be uncomfortable, but I aim to launch the discussion in a detached manner, with the absence of any moral judgement - this is Cuckold Psychology after all, and so let's take a pragmatic look at the psychology.

Tribal life. For much of our evolution, we have lived in tribes of around 100-200 people - mixed ages all living as a cooperative group. Age and gender played a large part in determining roles and the power dynamic. Men would tend to thrive when they excelled physically, and they followed men whose abilities and judgement they trusted. The men who had most sway over the group and bonded with the other men were most successful, with success at it's core being judged by the security, food, and shelter etc. that they could provide. Having sway over other members of the tribe, and being more of a leader also meamt that they lived a more comfortable life with enhanced provisions. Women that were drawn to these men tended to be successful in passing on their genes, and women who were attracted to weaker men simply died out over time - evolution in action, favouring attraction to the Alpha males as a survival strategy. The more a man could provide, then the more powerful that man was, and therefore the more women he could take as partners. Look at the courts of kings throughout history - the harems that the powerful ruler could cultivate, with women preferring to share a powerful man, than have a weak man to herself.

Alpha fucks, Beta bucks. Women have a dual mating strategy - an Alpha guy to fuck and take his seed, and the Beta provider who gives comfort and shelter. In modern day life, this explains why a wife may have monthly duty driven starfish sex or give that less-than-enthusiastic handjob to her money providing faithful husband; needing lube to get her going, and just laying there trying to get in the mood and he tries to please her. Ultimately, we are running on psychology that evolved over hundreds of thousands of years to prime us to have peak chance of survival in our small hunter gatherer tribes, but are now suddenly (within a couple of generations) living in a much more global world. Our grandparents lived in a time where loose morals could ruin reputations (watch any historical costume drama to know what I mean). Sleeping around brought shame, and risked being ostracised and possibly banished from the tribe. Slut shaming (and other judgmental behaviour) can be incredibly psychology painful for women because being banished from the tribe often meant certain death, and so it is an evolved psychological defense mechanism.

Men that want to share their women need to understand that for a woman to even admit to slutty desired and share their r/hotpast , then there needs to be a rock solid level of trust and ongoing reassurance from him - without this then she simply cannot flourish in this lifestyle.

Hypergamy. When women are with their men then they are always window shopping. Hypergamy is when a woman finds a better option (a higher value male) and she essentially "trades up". This is why we have read so many accounts of men saying that their wife is getting carried away fucking others, or left them for the bull. So why the FUCK do we want to do it?!

I don't personally buy into the idea that men are Alpha or Beta. We all exhibit different behaviours at different times, and it is these behaviours that tend to be higher value more attractive ones, or lower value less attractive ones. It's a continuum, and we're all at different points on there at different times, and when observed by different people.

A woman cannot find her partner attractive if there isn't a slight nagging doubt that he could leave her. Fellas - you may be thinking "but of course I won't leave her - she's the love of my life and blah blah blah" and you want to reassure her constantly of how devoted to her and how secure she is in the relationship. Ok, that's fine - you are giving her comfort and security there, not excitement and tingles. How many times have you seen it happen to others (or even possibly yourself) where the more he proclaims his love and devotion, the closer to a dead bedroom the relationship heads? Nothing dries a woman up quicker than desperation, or the impression that their 'man' has no other viable options than her.

Fellas - you may be coming to wife sharing as a way to spice up your dead sex life. This really is playing with fire, as it is just tempting her to jump over to that other mate. Just my take, but I say that wife sharing is only worth pursuing if you are already in a relationship where she finds you attractive and you already have a healthy amount of sex.

Mate guarding and sperm competition. Our ancestors sometimes found themselves in a situation where they suspected another male had mated with their woman, or it was confirmed by seeing the creampie or even they were fucked in front of them by a more powerful male.
