Do you think the subreddit would benefit from a verification mechanism?
Post Body

Nobody likes engaging with fake people or reading fake stories from them. A verification mechanism would at least give people some comfort that the people that they are engaging with are real people, even though we cannot verify if their stories are true or not.

Verified accounts could have certain privileges such as more relaxed filtering and immunity to #7 No Stories rule.

I know that motivated people will try to bypass the verification mechanism, but I can work on something 99% foolproof that would make it really hard for a motivated attacker to bypass.

What are your thoughts?

Edit: After seeing couple of comments, I think it would be better to emphasize that such a process would be completely optional for those who would like to verify themselves. Otherwise everything would continue to be the same as they were.

Comments

Yes. Then the posts also would be posted right away. I have waited 3 hours for my post to be approved - verification would fix that
