About a year ago we have decided to forbid story posts to decrease the amount of low-quality posts in this subreddit. Until today, our only criteria was that there had to be some sort of explicit query to invite the community to discuss an idea or give support. And it was enough, at least for some time.
But now we see that there is again an increase in low-quality posts and at least 90% of you is not happy about it. It is apparent that going forward we need stricter measures in /r/CuckoldPsychology.
But we don't want do it based solely on our decision. That's why I have created this thread to get your opinion about the matter.
Note that we already have spam and newly created account filters for automod and they are actually filtering great deal of content. However the problem is those things are silly deterministic filters that are unable to "understand" the quality of posts. So we are probably going to need a some sort of verification mechanism and either introduce new post tags so you can just ignore "generic" posts and focus on posts by verified accounts or we can just completely lockdown the subreddit and only allow posts by verified accounts. Alternatively we can make our current filters even more stricter but it's going to have false-positive hits (i.e. legitimate alt-throwaway accounts). Or a different measure.
What are your thoughts? What would you be okay with?
