I wanted to get some insights into something I’ve been reflecting on. With my ex, I was really into the cuckold dynamic. I encouraged her to flirt, meet other guys, and share stories with me, which was extremely arousing. Over time, she got into it too, and it became a big part of our relationship.

However, after we broke up, I got married to someone very different from my ex. Surprisingly, with my wife, I don’t have the same desire to share her. I feel fully satisfied just being with her and don’t fantasize about her with other men the way I did before. Even though the cuckold fantasy still exists in my mind, I just don’t associate it with her.

I’m curious,why does this happen? Is this common? Have any of you experienced this shift depending on the partner? Is there a psychological reason why this dynamic felt right with my ex but not with my wife?
