Telling a friend and how did they handle it

My husband and I have been into this now for a year and a half. None of our friends, family or coworkers know what we are doing or what we are into. Has anyone ever told a close friend about what you are doing and if so how did they handle it? Sometimes I feel a really strong desire to tell someone because of how sexy doing this makes me feel but I don’t want to lose a friend in the process.
