How do I tell my gf I would like to try being caged?

So my gf and I have been talking about having a third join us for a couple years. We had a brief online thing with a more dominant guy last month but have not talked about it since. I got some advice that trying a cage might progress things for us, but I’m worried it would be an ick for her if I even brought it up. And it’s honestly only hot for me if I’m horny.
Is this a good idea to try? How do i approach if I want it to happen?
