For those of you in very long term relationships that have received persistent refusal from your wife for years, do you wish that you had cut your losses earlier in your relationship and found someone who accepted you for who you are and was willing to accommodate what you need?

I recently disclosed everything about how I feel to my gf. I got the typical response of “Are you trying to see other women?” Followed by crying. After follow up conversations, she has doubled down on “No”.

I’ve read stories of wives/gf changing their mind after years, but frankly, I don’t want that. I’ve been with my partner for 2 years and I want the things that I want while I’m still in my 20’s.

Do you regret not leaving your partner to find someone else or are you happy with simply fantasizing about this lifestyle?
