I'm getting into the 16th chapter and learning why this kink may be instinctual. There's a lot about our anatomy, psychology, and physiology to tell us the story of our ancestors and survival of the fittest. In the hunter gather days, women apparently had a lot more sexual independence. Monogamy was instinctual for couples who had kids, but there was always a degree of promiscuity or dual mating strategy based on our physiology. (Human's sperm competition traits, penis shape size proportion, human's unique coronal ridge, testis size; compared against traits and behaviors of other great apes). We fit into the not-strictly monogamous category on the animal spectrum based on the size of our testis alone.
There is one psychological/psysiological trait in humans that makes me think it's the cuck instinct. When a man and woman are monogamous for a while, and the woman leaves on a trip for a few days, the man will be like 30% more fertile when he sees his woman again. This factor is even more present if he thinks there is a chance she cheated. It's an instinct that drives a man to seal the deal with conception to have a fighting chance to pass on his genes. (Doesn't this sound like reclaiming?) These scientists testing a hypothesis probably don't even consider this as a kink.
All of this is to say that there may be science behind why men get horny seeing their women with other men. I find this comforting to know that I'm not totally screwed up in the head. If men were always supposedly completely in charge of their women like cave man drawings suggest, we would all be hung like a gorrilla or a field mouse, same difference.
