We’ve been in the lifestyle for just over a year and LOVED every second of it. We’ve explored many different scenarios and tried to find what we enjoy most and what works best for us. It’s been an incredible journey and I sometimes still can’t believe I’m so blessed and loved to be able to partake in this new way of life for me and hubby.
This has brought about a new scenario hubby and I have discussed and wanted to see if anyone else has discussed it or possibly tried it. The idea of something more serious, long term has come up and we both love the thought of it. I wouldn’t call it full on poly - hubby would still be monogamous of course - since we have younger children and we want to keep our lifestyle separate from personal life still. It would be more of a very serious relationship with me having a boyfriend and a husband. Hubby wouldn’t be as involved in the aspects of my sexual life with my boyfriend. I would still share some details on occasion and possibly get photos for him sometimes but he wouldn’t be regularly involved. It would be more of a true separate relationship for me.
Of course my marriage and relationship with my husband would always come first and he would be my primary partner. Nothing would change there and we could always pull back if either of us felt we needed to. He was a little worried how he would feel involved and included. I want him and my boyfriend to be good friends. We could all go out together and spend time together. And as I said before, although I wouldn’t share details all the time, I will on occasion get some photos and videos for us.
Has anyone else attempted anything similar or have any experience with a poly/mono type relationship? Again it wouldn’t be full poly where another guy moves in but just more of a serious boyfriend who I have a separate, mostly private, relationship with. TIA!
