Tips and tricks on properly tensioning a cube?
Post Body

Okay confession time: Despite being knowing intermediate CFOP (2 look OLL/PLL working on full now) with an average of about 40-45 seconds, I have never actually tensioned a cube before.

Since either I couldn’t (i.e. my Starter Rubiks brand cube ) or I’ve been using out of the box tensioning (hey if it ain't broke…)

Well, I was messing around with my main yesterday (not sure what brand it is. always thought it was Shengshou due there being no logo, matching piece shape, size and frosted stickers, but the white Shengshou has white stickers opposite yellow and mine are black) and there was lots of catching that was slowing me down ( I think it is because a few of the sides are slightly looser than the others).

I tried tensioning by feel (tuning screws by half a turn, sexy move, rinse and repeat) but it just seems like each side is still out of sync (not sure if it is the right term) with the other, but I can’t figure out which side it is. In fact, I think Popping and catching has gotten a worse after I've messed with it. :(

So I was hoping reddit could help me out here before I accidentally destroy my cube. Any advice, tips or tricks is welcome, as so far I'm flying blind. Thanks! :)
