My friend and I decided to start a challenge. We get a speed cube on the exact same day and start practicing. After 3 months we will see who can do it better/faster. Maybe we'll redo after 6 months.
I know the beginners method and I learned 2look OLL/PLL a few years ago, so it's somewhere in the bottom of my brain. My friend has similar experiences.
So my question is how do I do it best. Specifically:
what should I aim for? My thinking is that it's not realistic to learn F2l in this short period, so it might be better to get really fast in solving the two layers with beginners method (?) I'm afraid I will only know some cases and get stuck solving bc I don't know to proceed.
Is it realistic to learn OLL and/or PLL cases in 3 months? What to do first?
or should I just stick to 2Look and train F2L intuitively?
-Is cfop the way to go? I have never tried one of the other methods..
Thanks in advance!
