I needed to restart my computer DeFi wallet on desktop

Hello! I needed to restart my OS! And lost my wallet. I have connected it to Ledger with staking.
When I downloaded the Crypto Defi desktop app i was ask to add my memoric pashe is this safe?
Or have i download a virus infected verson! Are my founds still safe and need my ledger to transfer money in and out?
Or are my CRO on my Ledger and not the DeFi wallet. Cani connect a new wallet and still use my validator true ledger?!
