Hey guys! The blog post that I have linked along with this post is the second part in our series 'APIs On The Blockchain'. In the first part we covered the history of the concept of an API, while here we delve into the intricacies of connecting APIs from what has been defined as 'web 2.0' with blockchain-based smart contracts. While the industry has come to term the limitations associated with doing this as the "oracle problem", we at the API3 DAO believe that the problem can be redefined simply as the "API connectivity problem", foregoing some of the mythical qualities that the former label is laden with.
