Tax question
Post Body

I got a letter today saying I owed 12k in back taxes in the US. My 1099 profit/loss only shows me having a profit of $104 even though I had $42k in profit transactions before all of my losses. Is the $104 the taxable income or does the IRS tax each transaction separately?
