So, I work as a teacher in a pretty well off European country, and I have students of all ages between 9-25. It might be of interest that the area I'm teaching in is an area with not so good reputation, in the suburbs of the town I'm living in.
Yesterday during one of my lessons, my (18F) student literally asked me for permission to leave early because she was meeting up her boyfriend who were going to teach her to buy Bitcoin. I didn't say much about it, apart from asking "Why do you need your boyfriend to teach you about that, there's plenty of information online to teach you". During the minutes that followed, she disclaimed that her reason being that "She needs to get rich", and sounded very urgent about it.
In the end, I just told her that she should learn as much as possible before investing, and to stay away from memecoins (which conjured a confused look ).
I just wanted to share this situation with you all. Have you also experienced a difference the past months in how much you hear people talking about Crypto?
