A stance i see parroted on here all the time is: leave your ideology out of this market, we are just here to make money. This is a gross opinion and goes against the very foundations of what crypto stands for.

We are at a crossroads as a species. One future is decentralized, with some of the power taken back to the people through the power of decentralization and the rejection of the current power dynamic. The other example is a hegemony.

Take for example the metaverse. Before a lot of you heard of meta(facebook) im sure you heard of the metaverse with regards to crypto. Of course the giant social media conglomerate Facebook would try to stick their nose into the metaverse and attempt to monetize and centralize the experience just as they do our data. I don't know about you but id like a future where my data and my privacy is respected and I am not another product. Do you think I use brave browser for the .15c I get every day from using it.

If so you are dead wrong, I use it to block ads and protect my own data. Those of you who say "were only in it for the money, who cares if things are centralized", you are selling out your fellow man and the world that your children will live in. There is a power struggle going on right now between us little guys and the big guys. Will we reclaim our financial freedom or will we sell out to make a few bucks and once again willingly allow big money to use us as product for a few gains.

I'm sorry but if you need money that badly because you are struggling and the system is rigged (yes the economy is fucked) but fail to see the irony behind that then you are dead to the cause. Point being in the short term you may make money yes but you are willingly selling your fellow man out monetarily to the big guy and ensuring the oligarchy continues. I don't know about where your moral compass lies but to me I put my money behind a future I can believe in. One where the future is a little less dystopia and a little more bright. One where I have a little more power and they have a little less. And yes the only way to get that power back is through decentralization. They have enough physical power to destroy the world twice over we will never take it by force. The only to get the power back is to put our money towards that future.
