I have an old dusty Coinbase account for holding BTC and ETH. Not Coinbase Pro; just regular plain Coinbase.
Back in the day, I noticed the large amount of fees for trading and transfering on Coinbase - hence the long term holding strategy for this account.
Yesterday, I revisited the account and took one of those quizzes where you earn a bit of crypto. I made $3 worth of whatever-the-name, and decided to trade it for the stable coin USDC.
Result: $3.07 was converted into USDC. Fee: $0 / ยค0.
Then I traded from USDC to GRT (The Graph) - and again; $0 fee.
Do they tamper with the conversion prices or what exactly is going on here?
There are no fees for converting coins, only for buying and selling
