As a mid 40s Gen X’er I was pretty late to the crypto game, relatively speaking. Aside from some random pothead buddies talking about it years ago I was mostly isolated from what was going on here. But a month or two ago a respected friend shared their thoughts and that got me started down the Rabbit hole.

I made a modest investment thinking I don’t really need a lambo, maybe just a nice SUV with Bluetooth and comfy seats to cruise to the AM/PM for beer runs in. I read the postings here, did my own research, and felt good about the modest moves Id made. Then this week happened.

Buying Bitcoin at close to the current ATH and watching it tumble by half within a month did hurt my heart and got me thinking that SUV with power windows was tough to swallow.

But in these darkest of days, today I logged in to Reddit to discover my first distribution of cherished moons. Upon some self reflection I realized that even when times seem bleak, there is still joy in the world as long as you’re open to receiving it.
