This story starts on a cold Christmas Day way back in 2019. My wife's best friend and us decided to meet up for a late Christmas dinner at a local bar/restaurant. We were feeling quite merry and jolly and when the check came the inevitable argument over who would pay came up. In the end the wife's best friend won and straight up refused to allow us to kick her down even $20 for the most excellent meal and drinks. So instead I told her that I was going to put $20 into a crypto coin for her then 2 year old son. I selected a coin I didn't own so that portfolio was all his. So on Dec 25 2019 I purchased 4.5 ETC for this little guy.
It hit a high this week of $750 before settling down now to around $500. I sent a screengrab to his mother the other day and she practically shit herself. We are now both hodling in hopes of a college education in 15 years time. However, I have considered cashing it out of ETC and buying him a slice of a ETH. Thoughts?
