I've been interested in investing in crypto for a while, long enough that I've done my research and wasn't just hopping on a bandwagon when I decided to actually give it a shot a couple months ago. I tried to make a binance.us account, but after a couple of attempts and never receiving verification emails, I gave up and tried Bittrex. Had no problems making an account, getting verified, and buying some crypto - also have not so far had problems moving that crypto to wallets, like I'm now seeing others complaining about while looking into the problem that I am having with them: After having no problems transferring money to my Bittrex account with my debit card a few times over a couple weeks, one night my debit transfer gets rejected. Again and again, but finally goes through, and my transfer is made. The next day, my transfers are again rejected with the same error message: "Oops, something went wrong! Try again later!" And so it has been for the last week or so, with no response from Bittrex Support.
Anxious to get on with continuing with some investments, I tried Binance again. This time I got an email and was able to set up my account alright, but their verification won't approve me so that I can trade. I've tried and uploaded pictures of my ID a dozen times, each one clear, legible, and meets all their other rules. It doesn't even reject, just reloads the page after the final selfie step of the verification and starts again from the beginning.
Then I go back to Coinbase, where I've had an account for earning rewards, but don't trade on but hey I really wanted to get on a couple of these dips, so... well, same thing. Keeps rejecting my verification for being too blurry. Even though its clear as day. Reject.
So okay I guess I'll try Kraken. Well, they don't want my money either because while I was able to upload a pic of one side of my ID, the other side wouldn't upload because it "wasn't the right file size." But it was taken with the same camera, in the exact same location/position/manner as the one that was accepted.
And that's where I'm at. Been 5 hours (~2 weeks for Bittrex!) of trying to get one of these exchanges to let me spend money on them and getting absolutely nowhere.
And I'm actually interested and determined... Can't imagine a total noobie just looking into it to give it a second thought after even an hour of this hassle, if they spent that much time on it at all.
