In May '23 BitcoinCash (BCH) has activated CashTokens, network upgrade that extended TX output format with native tokens and, coupled with native introspection opcodes activated in '22, it allows creation of AMM DEXs, NFT marketplaces, DAOs etc. all straight on L1, giving our p2p electronic cash system many more uses while maintaining low fees.
