My sister doesn't use Reddit so I decided to go ahead and make a post explaining her story and for her to gain insight into her crush's behavior. For personal reasons, I'll refer to her as "Julie" and her crush as "Toby"

Last year, Julie met Toby in one of her classes. He is a reserved boy that caught her attention. They added each other on Snap and through there, she got to know details about him such as his hometown and hobbies/interests.

Some time after that, they would only talk about school-related things until he stopped messaging her back. Since he became distant, she got afraid to reach out to him in real life.

There was this one time when she would be participating in class and he turn his back to see her. There was also another time where she was hanging outside talking on the phone with her friend after school and he stopped to look at her for one second and then walked away.

Towards the end of the school year, she downloaded this app called Yubo (a friend making app) and was elated when out of the blue, Toby sends her a friend request. She also found it a coincidence that she shared a lot of the same interests in each other's profiles. She took the initiative to greet him when she got un-added. Earlier that day, her friend found him on Tinder and took a screenshot to show her.

Julie has tried to get advice from friends and family and most of them said to move on from him and some have said that he was too shy and that she should keep trying to win him over.

One day in the hallway, she tried to call him but he couldn't hear her. She then tapped him on the arm and then he looked down to see her waving at him and he waved back.

She has made two other accounts and he sent a friend request to each of them. She tried to say hi and then he un-added like the first time.

She got another friend to add him on Yubo and they had a conversation. When graduation arrived, he saw them sitting next to each other and then she thought that Toby connected the dots to what was happening.

The day after graduation, she confessed her feelings for him on the Yubo app and he then proceeded to block her.

Recently, she went to make another Yubo account waiting for a friend request. She then looked up his username to find out that she has already been blocked.

She doesn't know if Toby really had feelings for her and/or was too shy to approach her or not.e
