So... Im 17 and I’ve had a crush on this guy(17) for about 6 months, he used to go to my school but he doesn’t anymore. I We’ve hung out before at the mall alone and with friends. We’ve also gone to a carnival (alone then we found his friends). I invited him to my prom (he wanted to go) but he has bad blood with people at my school and didn’t want to go. Which I understand, I was just disappointed. We FaceTime regularly so we have plenty of converstantions. For example, I asked if he has any crushes, he said he had a few, couple minutes later he says that his friends told him to ask me out and told them maybe...

Then recently he invited me to watch a movie with him, I was really excited (hoping it might be a date) only to receive a text asking “Is this a date sorta thing or hanging out I’m guessing hanging out?” After that point I’ve kinda given up, but, I still have these feelings. I’m wondering whether I’d be a good idea to confess even though I’m unsure anything will come out of it. One of the reasons why I’m thinking about confessing is because this is our last year of high school, and it doesn’t hurt to try?

Edit: Whenever we meet up (just about to leave) he hugs me.. Im not sure if he thinks we’re friends or this is what he does to people he likes?
