I have been working with this girl but mostly at a distance for the past 6 months. I have really strong feelings for her, she’s beautiful, incredibly kind and warm and I just melt when I see her, among other things. When I texted her a couple weeks ago to give her my number, she was really cute, “I didn’t have your number but I do now :)” Yeah could be nothing but I’ve also caught her staring at me multiple times and she gives me crazy long eye contact and does the playing with her hair thing when it’s just us. We really seem compatible.
I sent her a couple random friendly texts and she sent a friendly response a couple hours later. After work on a Friday I sent a more flirty text and she didnt respond. This is a career job and of course I’m worried of messing that up and she is too probably, but we’re actually working at different locations after four weeks of training. She doesn’t really know me that well so I’m hoping she was just worried I was going to accelerate things and ask her out before she was really sure I was worth the risk of dating while sort of working together. I’m ready to take the risk.
My question is, if you were able to successfully woo your work crush and it led to a relationship, how long did it take? How should I handle being patient and allowing the universe to make it happen if it’s meant to be? The thing is, I imagine she comes across guys falling in love with her all the time so it kind of gives me a sense of urgency. I’ve never felt this strongly about a girl before after doing serious reflecting and being honest with myself. Help please!
