Here we are again. I have a mutual (now more definite friend) who is moving to my city. About a month ago when we saw each other he started massively singling me out. This included many interactions with just me in group settings, finding me while everyone was together and offering ONLY me a beer, and inviting me to stay in his guest room (NOT for sex. Just because we were there for a competition and it was late) and then waking me up the next morning with biscuits he made from scratch at 6 AM. That evening we chatted for 3 hours. We have continued to chat via text. Lots of fun banter, sometimes things that are considered flirty. I invited him over to come meet my dog the last time he was in town, and he ended up staying with me to chat for over 6 hours. During this time he struggled to make eye contact with me when we were alone, but would hold it for a brief second before looking away. He has given me several hugs, and blushes at times when I look at him and say bantering jokes. He messaged me and asked me to make him a cookie recipe. The morning I was supposed to see him he texted and said “today is a good day. Cookies and dog” in regards to coming over. After I gave him the cookies he gave me four hugs, one of which was very tight and he held for several seconds. He has texted me three separate times telling me how amazing they are. He texts me very often, and at one point, he traced my shoulder with his fingertips over my tattoo. Am I wrong to think he may have somewhat of interest for me? It’s hard to tell because he is a shy guy and I feel like is a slow burn. I invited him over soon to teach him how to make those cookies and he jumped on the opportunity right away. I really like this boy. I want to date him, but am conflicted on if these feelings are just him being nice or if he is interested.
