Okay so background first, me (m20) and my friend (f20) have been friends since 1st year of college (now 4th years) and we’ve been hanging out on and off only ever since last year when we started getting really close because she started going through a lot mentally.

Fast forward to present time, we are practically best friends, and the thing is she has a boyfriend and I respect their relationship very much. Anyways, we were at a local college party because we are both part of a club and as I was leaving the party, there was an instance where I “dapped” her up to say bye but she held on to my hand, and we kept talking while our hands were held, just bickering at each other…. Fast forward a few days later, she asked me if I wanted to do something for her birthday because she has no one else to celebrate it with since her boyfriend is outta the country and I said, “sure! are you planning to drink since you’re 21” and she ecstatically replied, by saying she’s gonna black out. one remark she said that stuck with me is that “my literal boyfriend is outta the country for my 21st bday, like wtf”. and I wanted to also add that I asked if it’d be just the two of us, and she said “yeah, I mean you’re my only friend” and she proceeded to ask which house…

keep in mind, we are really close like friendship wise, but recently we’ve been getting CLOSE, so let me know what y’all think?? DOES SHE or ARE WE JUST CLOSE?
