title says it all . i found a summer job and one of the new people who i will see semi-regularly for the job is NOT the most beautiful person on earth (bc im trying to to idolise/idealise anyone hahaha) but really really beautiful. and she has seriously cool (pretty gay) style and good energy that just makes you feel comfortable right away

first time i saw her was two days ago (i know, i know) when she was playing ping pong in the courtyard outside our office. i thought something about her energy was really attractive but i thought she might be a student* so i pushed all those thoughts away as i thought it would not be professional. *adult student btw - we are a language school so we have a lot of learners over 18 so i assumed she was one. i think she’s around my age or slightly older - i’m almost 21, i think she might be 21-23

we haven’t spoken to each other before today. and today i’ve only had the chance to say a single sentence to her - “sorry my stuff is there” - bc she was chatting to the coach driver and sat next to where i put my stuff on the coach. so she let me through and we sat next to each other. the driver was talking about how he was from france so i spoke some basic french to him (bc i wanted to show off a bit in front of her haha). that got her attention and I KID YOU NOT she turned her head fully to look at me for a really long time while i tried to hide how affected i was by her attention and keep on talking . sadly the coach driver said he had to start driving so she went back to her seat before we could talk further.

also i found out she WASN’T a student but one of the group leaders so she was basically doing the same role as me.

we didn’t have a chance to talk for the rest of the day bc we were in charge of different groups on a field trip but throughout the day when we bumped into each other we smiled at each other and i think there was some suspiciously long eye contact going on (it could be wishful thinking - although i think i’m pretty good at picking up on when other people are attracted to me)

the only thing is i’ll be leaving the job at the end of next week :(((( and she’s visiting from italy. i’m so frustrated bc i really want to get to know her better !!! and actually talk TO each instead of making stupid eyes at one another

i think i’m going to ask her out for drinks and get to know her better anyway . if she says no , i’m leaving anyway next week so the embarrassment will not last long lmao. and even if she’s not interested in me that way hopefully i can gain a new friend from a different country! life’s too short to have regrets
