I am playing as Denmark, second generation in 921. I have established the kingdom, conquered some of Norway, things are going pretty well.
House of Sigurdr also has dynasty members ruling realms in Ireland, and the conditions caused some of that land to eventually be inherited by some of my vassals and it became my realm.
This upset the Irish Catholics, who demanded I convert. I didn't really want to, but i was already at war etc. And pretty much had to convert to avoid losing everything all together.
Ruler died, son took over, and in turn, now the Asatru were calling for a conversion. So i thought, ah that's nice, I'll convert back to Asatru now that I've gotten my bearings and just have my priest dude convert the Irish population and we're all good.
Only then did i realize that Catholicism has spread really fast in my kingdom, and now we're pretty much at a 50/50 split.
I'm trying to convert my important pieces of land back, i even took the perks to speed up the process, but every time i convert one piece of land, another has become catholic through natural spread.
Any tips on dealing with a realm that has two big faiths?
Tl;Dr: forced to convert to Catholicism, tried to convert back to Asatru. Now my realm is split 50/50 in faith and I'm having trouble dealing with it either way D:
