Is it possible to change a passenger last minute?

So being the unlucky git that I am, my passport has disappeared and I have a cruise with MSC tomorrow leaving from Spain. I would like my partner’s mum to take my place instead, problem is the office is closed currently.
Has anyone else had any luck changing passengers same day? And would it be better to call first or sort it out at the port. Cheers in advance :)
