Flying into Miami for Virgin Cruise in October. What would you choose?
Post Body

I live in Cleveland. Going on my first Virgin cruise in October. There are no direct flights to Miami.

Choice 1: Book one-stop flight to Miami with layover in either Phili or Charlotte. Get there between 2 - 3:30pm depending on flight. Cruise leaves at 6:00pm

Choice 2: Book a NON-stop flight to Fort Lauderdale. Get there shortly after 11:00am. Take an Uber from FLL directly to Virgin Cruise port in Miami. Ride cost is like $50-70.

Lets say total cost is not a factor in either one. They are close enough.

What would you pick?

Edit: Thanks for all the scary replies. I've cruised out of Florida before on Princess and flew in the same day without issues. I realize it's risky, but I don't have a choice. The day before is not an option. I will book a one-way non-stop on the way there into FLL and another one-way one-stop back home out of Miami. United Air for both. (Spirit was an option, but that's a nope)

Can you not leave late the night before? Like I get if you work until 5pm or something but there are flights after 5pm
