Booked on the cruise ship and got a lot of on-board credit

So booked my future cruise on the cruise I was just on. Even the guy who booked it seemed a bit shocked. We booked into the yacht club on MSC seashore for 11 nights out of Orlando. The price was quite good so I couldn't pass it up as I truly love MSC. We ended up with 650 dollars for the room. Is that normal? Last one i got 50 dollars lol. So I was shocked. Made booking the yacht club worth it I thought. Does everyone get that much?
