So I was discussing the kidnapping with a fellow watcher, and what if Martin didn’t really kidnap Kate? What if Kate “ran away” from home and was living in Martin’s basement. Martin goes along with it because he had issues of his own but then one day realized that what they were doing was wrong and told Kate that. But Kate gets upset and Martin says he’s going to go tell people she’s there and she kills him? I know they showed a memory of Kate in the basement trying to escape, but what if her “memories” are fabricated? What if that’s just what she made up or what she has to tell people so no one knows that she was there willingly?? What are your thoughts?
