Yesterday (NYE) I sent a text to see if anyone wanted to go on a short hike to see out the year. Sara was the only one to respond (eagerly) as all our other friends had travelled away for the new years (not that I was too disappointed).

Sara showed up at our usual spot, and the whole trail was empty (I'm guessing because of NYE and also the cold this time of year). It was insanely hot but I'm not sure I can take the risk again 😅. Sara wants me to come to the party which is New Year's Day afternoon, but tbh I don't think I can look her husband in the eye.
