Hi - I took a look at a different set of files - this time Japanese Tales - another Cruxdreams.
Oxana here has a significantly different wrist distance to the first analysis. Her hanging angle is about 70 degrees, compared to about 120 for the Childbirth video. My hypothesis was that this wider distance and consequent more oblique angle in the full hang (https://imgur.com/a/mg8pHvS) would make the full hang more palatable over time as compared to the arch with closer wrist positioning - this was broadly supported by the data.
I looked at the first two files and the last two files of the sequence - around 5 minutes and about 6 minutes respectively.
You can see my raw data, scoring, and chart here: https://imgur.com/a/zG3ItLw
I tried to score as close as possible to the previous one, but the mechanics are slightly different. I counted anything where the shoulders are above the cross-beam as 'upright', anything where they are below the cross-beam but the head and shoulders are vertical is 'hanging', and anything where the head and shoulders lead forward as 'arched'.
- As you can see the amount of time spent arched is dramatically lower than the previous video (agony after childbirth), and unlike that video the amount of time in an arch falls over time, dropping to zero in the last sequences.
- She spends nearly all of her time upright in the first two clips, her legs quite easily able to maintain her in a relatively comfortable position. By the last two clips she is barely able to lift herself however, and is hanging for nearly the whole time.
- As in the previous analysis, her movement increases over time - in this case by a factor of three. In the first two clips her movement is largely between upright and arched (a much less dramatic arch that the childbirth video), whereas in the second two clips she moves almost exclusively between a straight hang and a hang to the right hand side.
Conclusion
I believe that the wider wrist positioning here prevents the arch from being a viable position, forcing her into a hang. The predicament element is reduced in this position, and she is forced to hang painfully from the wrists with few viable ways to alleviate the pain.
