What are the best primaries to pair with slug shotguns?

Hand cannons are always decent but I feel like the synergy between them aren’t too great. If I’m using HHSN to cover close range, do I go for something like an auto or a scout? I’d like to use a bow but solo bow sorta sucks

Does anyone have an ideas for suggestions on what to use? Kinetic/Energy and exotic/legendary options are all good. I use gunnora/blasphemer/chaperone so anything primary will fit will.

Maybe fighting lion? Idk I haven’t used it yet tbh. Any other warlock slug users out there have a feel for what plays well?
