Scrub plate finally getting a little better, but then the meta changes...

I was finally getting a little better, and feeling a bit comfy with my fate cries foul and TLW combo. Im going to jump back in today, but really am I unsure of the loadout to use now. With scout and smg as ritual rewards for crucible play I’m tempted to think I should switch out tlw for a smg, or a longer range handcannons since it’s range has shortened.
Any loadout advice (console) for me coming from this combo? I also enjoy erentil quite a bit but shotguns less so.
