My heritage has Arrowhead Brake, Light Mag, Slideshot and Snapshot Sights with a range masterwork. I absolutely love it, but I’ve been working on my crucible performance a lot lately and I was wondering if there’s a better primary shotgun option. I also have a wastelander with Rifled Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Air Assault and Opening Shot with a Handling Masterwork and Hot Swap. It’s ok, but I find I hit far more precision shots with heritage due to the much higher range. I also have a godroll fractethyst and a few other nice options in the vault, and I’m still chasing a good Inquisitor roll (because my messenger is still top tier and obviously NTTE) but I’m not amazing at trials enough to solo queue and get enough wins to farm engrams, and my past performance stats keep people from letting me fireteam up with them.
TLDR; Is heritage still good for more competitive matches, or is there another option?
My energy slot is a BxR with Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Killing Wind, Kill Clip, and Range Masterwork with Hot Swap.
I do prefer slugs over regular shottys currently as I’m running an arc hunter with liars handshake and being able to give the Shot-Punch at longer range than expected is a great counter for apeing arc titans and the warlock slide melee.
