Hi all,
Games like half life 1 and portal work ok in a small window, but they crash occasionally or slow down my computer a lot. Sprinting in a game called Minecraft crashes it. Mouse input in Linux is glitchy in terms of movement. I can only run steam via terminal and I have to shut down Pixelbook (8gb) every time I want to play on steam or a linux app. Most linux apps are glitchy and don't contain things they should contain. All steam proton games do not work, crashing immediately(Fnaf custom night and skyrim:se, both of which are platinum and gold rated in terms of linux portability). Lutris and playonlinux do not work. Having five tabs in chrome open at once occasionally crashes my computer. I noticed that often Everything will freeze, turn black, then after 10 secs restart to new tab screen with all my windows and tabs gone and I have to restart to use android or linux apps.
To sum it up, pretty bad for a 1,000 pound computer. Gpu acceleration, debian 10 buster(Although it gave me loads or error messages) and 32 bit are enabled. I either want to recover my chromebook(Which I don't think will work as I will wind up with the same problem) or get a new distro via crouton or wipe chrome os (Don't want to do) and get a new distro for gaming. I want to preferrably keep my warranty and be allowed to play games like minecraft and skyrim which run on my old 4gb computer and my friends 4gb computer (both windows). Overall, chrome os and linux beta keep crashing, need solution (preferably new distro), want to play my games like skyrim and half life 2 and fanf custom night and minecraft while keeping android apps and warranty. That last sentence is best case, but my pixelbook is becoming almost unusable. I will post this on multiple forums and subreddits. I also would preferably want to run epic games store via lutris and stadia when it is released for free.
Thank you very much for reading!
