I am doing a large cross stitch of a alphabet with animals next to each letter It was only £2 for the whole kit but I have found that the thread is knitting at the back of my work at least once every 5 min and I then have to spend 30 min untangling it
I have tried using a shorter thread and even when I was using a 10 cm thread it knotted
I’ve been really trying to take my time with it but it’s made no difference
I haven’t use beeswax or thread conditioners because I have very little knowledge but if people have found them to make a significant difference I will investigate some more
I really just cannot understand how it is happening could it be because it’s incredibly cheap thread? I really don’t know so any advice is welcome
