Im messing around with pattern making for the first time.
I want to take a picture I found online and turn it into a gift for my mother in law. It's sort of like the Unicorn in Captivity, but not quite.
I think the pattern would look good done on 16c black aida. I've only done projects using 14 count white aida, and I hear that working on black is a bit tricky. I want to keep as much detail from the picture as possible, without it becoming impracticable for a novice to try.
Is this something I just try out and play around with? Do I just do a little sample of the pattern?
