Just had Bowl Resection Surgery and I'm scared.
Post Body

I am 21 and I just got bowl resection surgery last Tuesday and am recovering at home now. I've been recovering fine (besides the occasional gas pain, sneezing, and coughing) but today something new came around. Today was the first day I started pooping blood, the toilet looked like fruit punch. I immediately called the doctors who said it was to be expected as some blood could be left behind from surgery but I am still concerned. Since then I pooped more blood and it looked a lot darker this time around. I called again and the doctor said what he said earlier but to monitor it. I am pretty worried and don't want to stress about it but it is very hard as this is the first time I have ever pooped blood. Could it have been something I ate, maybe a way I turned in my sleep? Any advice at all to help ease my mind or even advice to know if I should readmit myself back into the hospital would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.
