Tips for telling apart Abscesses from other Crohn's related things?

Hey guys, bit of background ive had crohns for just about a decade now (diagnosed 10-11) and ive fallen under a relapse due to a lack of medication from insurance (its sorted out, just a matter of time now)
Its been long enough (last treatment was about august last year) that im now getting blood in my stool, and ive had bloating in my lower intestines and i just feel bloated all the time.
Im prone to get abscesses and I was wondering how I could tell this apart from other crohn's related things on my own, so I know what to tell my doctor. Thanks!
